Specification for Vertical Blinds with Decomatic Track System by Sunteca

1. General

     A.    Traverse control is by means of a high-strength, braided, nylon/polyester cord that is
             designed to eliminate stretch.

     B.    Heavy duty wall brackets adjust for a center of carrier hook to wall distance of
             between 2¼” and 4½”.

     C.    All fittings are corrosion proof.

     D.    All exposed plastic is of high ultra-violet resistant material.

     E.    Track has a light gap of only ¼” at the control chain.

     F.    The mounting clip is made of stainless steel.

     G.    Louvers can be proportionally spaced.

     H.    Minimum louver overlap will be 3/8”.

     I.    Control and return housings are molded to match the aluminum extrusion and
           provide pleasing, streamlined appearance. The housings are colored to match the
           extrusion as required.

     J.    All components are manufactured to exact tolerances, from virgin materials, for a
             precision fit.

2. Features:

   Operations:
 
         A.    Available in one way draw, split draw, off-center and center stack. Also in
                 special applications such as: Curved and Arched tracks.
 
         B.    Track has a stack release lever which allows all louvers to be moved aside for
                 easy window cleaning.
 
   Headrail:

     A.    Made of extruded aluminum alloy 6063-T5, 1½” wide by 1” high by width of
             blind, the extrusion has a nominal wall thickness of .045”.

     B.    Finish is clear anodized. Painted Bronze or painted White is available for a surcharge.
             Paint is baked enamel on a treated surface.

   Tiltrod:

         A.    Made of extruded  Aluminum Alloy 6063-T5, ¼” diameter, single groove.

   Louver Carrier:
 
       A.   Has a geared clutch system for overload protection, the clutch has a steel spring
               to provide positive action.
 
       B.   Has two wheels molded of a self-lubricating plastic such as Celcon.
 
       C.   Louver hooks are of clear, high ultra-violet resistant polycarbonate.
 
       D.   Louver spacers between carriers are of stainless steel to eliminate corrosion.
 
       E.   Louvers rotate a minimum of 180 degrees to provide full louver closure, and will stay in
               position unless reset.
 
       F.   Louver rotation by a control chain of Celcon beads molded onto a nylon cord. Extra
             strong and will not corrode.
 
       G.   Louvers are self aligning with one full cycle of control chain operation.
 
       H.   Louver hooks are replaceable, even while the unit is installed, without disassembling the
               track.

   Vanes:

       A.  PVC:

    • 3 ½” extruded solid curved smooth PVC, produced exclusively from 100% virgin lead free material, with no regrind whatsoever.
       
    • The vane should have a nominal thickness of 0.027” (=/- .002), measured at center of the vane, and be of high opacity so that there is no “pinking” when exposed to direct sunlight.
       
    • All surfaces should be well treated with an anti-static agent.
       
    • The PVC should meet or exceed the following test properties:
                         Hardness:  Durometer “D” –75-90 and Rockwell R 110-115
                         Impact Strength:   Izod 1.8 – 2.5
                         Tensile Strength: 6,000-7000 psi
       
       And it should hold its color when exposed to temperatures of  330-347 degrees F
       in an air circulating oven.
