Measuring Drapery

Always use a METAL tape measure.

1. If rod is already on window: Measure bracket to bracket. If there is no rod: Select desired position for brackets and measure. This is your Width Measurement.

2, Measure distance which bracket extends out from wall. This is the Return measurement.

3. Measure distance from top of rod bracket to desired length of drapery. This is your Length measurement.

You will also need to specify if there is Overlap. If you are ordering a pair of drapes which will close in the center, there will be an overlap. Answer “Yes” on the quote form. If you are ordering a single panel, there is No overlap. Answer “No” on the quote form.

If there is no overlap, we assume it is a panel. You need to specify if you want the panel to draw to the right (cord on right) for Right Panel, or to the Left - Left Panel.

Finished Width

• For Pairs: We will calculate finished width by taking your Width measurement (bracket to bracket) adding double your Return plus Overlap (4”) plus 1 inch for ease.
   
• For Panels the finished width will be your Width measurement (bracket to bracket) adding your Return plus 1 inch for ease.
