Gordon's has been focusing on the commercial window treatment market since its start in 1985. Gordon's Window Decor uses creativity and quality products to tackle the most difficult projects.  For example, one project for National Life involved 88 simultaneously operating motorized skylight shades.  "The project seemed doomed by the original cost," recalls Gordon Clements, the president of the company, "until we figured a way to cut the cost and put in a technically superior product."

At the University of Vermont, Gordon's constructed shades that "defy gravity," Clements says.  The university's Fleming Museum sports a huge vaulted glass ceiling in its gift shop and campus entryway.  It was impossible to staff and the gifts were melting under the sunny, unshaded glass ceiling.  After years of searching for a solution, including national manufacturers who said it couldn’t be done, UVM turned to Gordon’s.  Clements, mustering the sum of his 23 years of experience, and the skills of his dedicated employees, built special shades that travel up and over the barrel-shaped ceiling, bringing effective solar protection to the museum for over 10 years now.

Currently, Gordon’s Window Decor products are in over 18 colleges and universities, and 30 schools.  Gordon’s has the high performance, durable products that fit equally well in college dormitories, boardrooms, presidents’ houses, classrooms, or campus museums.
